The Dalmore Cask Curation Series Sherry Edition
Introducing the first edition of The Dalmore Cask Curation Series – a four-year journey of annual limited releases, each featuring a trio of aged whiskies. This 2023 release, limited to just 150 sets, showcases the profound influence of different casks on our spirit, under the meticulous guidance of our master whisky makers. The inaugural release celebrates The Dalmore’s century-long partnership with González Byass Sherry.
Exclusive Sherry Cask Selection
For The Sherry Edition, Master Whisky Makers Gregg Glass and Richard Paterson, OBE, have handpicked three exceptional whiskies, each aged in rare casks from the esteemed González Byass Sherry bodega. These casks, previously used in the Sherry solera system, impart unique flavors and character to each whisky:
- 26 Year Old: Finished in a 2002 Vintage Sherry cask, a true rarity in the Sherry world.
- 28 Year Old: Finished in a 30-year-old Matusalem Sherry cask, offering deep, rich flavors.
- 43 Year Old: Finished in a 30-year-old Apostoles cask, delivering unparalleled complexity.
Craftsmanship and Presentation
The packaging of The Dalmore Cask Curation Series is inspired by the spirit of travel. The hand-crafted presentation box, made in Florence by Italian luggage makers AB Florence, serves as both a carry case and display case for the trio of bottles. The Sherry-red Saffiano leather cover, along with the intricate decoration and chrome fittings, reflect the luxury and attention to detail synonymous with The Dalmore.
Natural and Authentic
Each whisky in this set is non-chill filtered, with natural color and bottled at cask strength, ensuring an authentic and unadulterated tasting experience.
