Product Description
Deep purple-garnet in color. Aromas of violets, licorice, cloves and blackberry. The wine is medium-weight on the palate and smooth. Round tannins compliment the juicy-sweet ripe raspberry and blackberry fruit, with fresh anise complexities. This dry wine finishes with lightly smoky spice, and a lingering vanilla warmth.

Weathering the elements of nature and the march of time, a handful of Clayhouses, more often referred to as Adobes, continue to stand today as relics of Paso Robles’ pioneering past. Clayhouse wines are an ode to our Clayhouse which you’ll find nestled in a canyon up a winding dirt road, where oak trees proudly stand guard and rows of wine grapes trellis up the hillside. This house was once a home, an occasional hideout for outlaws and a gathering place when neighbors were few and far between. Clayhouse wines are not only an affirmation of those who sowed the land before us, but also a testament to nature and the generosity that it provides. From our house to your home – we hope you enjoy.
