An intriguing Cognac here from Larsen, dubbed Aqua Ignis! This wasn’t rested in just any old casks, but each French oak barrel was plunged into hot water and then toasted over an open fire – not just once but thrice! If we have any Latin geeks over here (anyone?), then now it’ll make sense why the name translates to ‘water’ and ‘fire’. The process adds heaps of toasty mocha and spicy notes to the Cognac.
