With winds blowing in from the San Pablo Bay, Carneros temperatures are generally cooler and more moderate than regions further north, making it ideal for cultivating cool-loving Chardonnay grapes. The fruit for this Reserve Chardonnay is sourced from a single vineyard in the appellation, the family’s newest estate property.Pair this Chardonnay with dishes as diverse as pan seared halibut with a beurre blanc sauce, carbonara or Thai green curry with spring vegetables.Aromas: Baked pear and apple, complemented with caramel and brown sugar from the French oak.Flavors: Layered and complex with a balance between roundness and crisp acidity. This delicate wine has flavors of baked green apple tart and tropical fruit that flows through the mouth, finishing with caramel and toasty oak.
Producer Description
Rutherford Ranch Winery is on the site of the original Round Hill Winery that was founded in 1978 by Ernie Van Asperen, Virginia Van Asperen and Charlie Abela. When the Van Asperens retired in 2000, Marko and Theo Zaninovich, long-time shareholders with the Van Asperen family, acquired the winery. The estate vineyards were replanted with superior vines and the winery and tasting room have since undergone significant renovations.Yet, the estate’s 100-year-old olive grove and unpretentious charm remain essentially unchanged.

Our policy is valid for a period of 30 days. If it's been more 30 days since you purchased your item and we're unable to offer you a full refund or exchange.
You are able to return an item when it's unopened and is in the same condition when you first received it. It must also be in the original packaging.
