Product Description
Gracefully gliding 15,000 feet above sea level, the endangered California condor is the largest flying bird in North America. With a wingspan stretching 10 feet from tip to tip, these majestic birds inspired us to craft a collection of wines sourced from the ruggedly beautiful vineyards along California’s coast, where the California condor holds domain. The long growing season and Mediterranean climate of California are highly attractive growing conditions which allow grapes to reach optimal ripeness. The morning fog and coastal breeze combined with warm, dry afternoon temperatures encourages the grapes develop slowly and fully ripen to showcase robust flavor and intensity. During fermentation we carefully extract the soft, silky tannins and rich color from the grapes. 10SPAN Cabernet Sauvignon is a rich, full-bodied and elegantly textured wine with flavors of blackberry, dark cherry, black currant and cassis that blend into darker notes of cocoa, tobacco and toasted oak. Balanced acidity and a smooth mouthfeel are followed by a long, round finish.

Tom Gore is a second-generation grape farmer from Sonoma County and from the time he learned to walk, he was stomping alongside his dad, getting dirty and taking care of the grapes. For Tom Gore, farming isn’t a profession, it’s a way of life. His family helped develop the vineyards of Northern California into a world-class winemaking region, and Tom’s childhood was spent among the vines. He has worked every harvest since he was seven years old, and has always known farming grapes would be his life’s work. As Tom puts it, “Much like a chef needs outstanding ingredients to let a dish shine, a winemaker needs high-quality grapes to make a very good wine.” Tom sees his wines as time capsules, or expressions of the growing season, and is most proud of explaining what he does as a farmer–connecting people to the earth and telling the story of where the wine comes from. The work of a farmer.
