Grune Fee (or "green fairy") is an absinthe made in Austria according to strict re-creations of the 19th century recipes, including Grand Wormwood and other herbs. The natural coloring from the herbs results in the pale green color for which absinthe verte is so famous and inspires the many visions of the green fairy. Coming in at the traditional--but very hot!--130 proof it demands to be diluted with cold water (to "louche") and sweetened to taste.
