Knob Creek Quarter Oak Bourbon Whiskey takes Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey and finishes it in quarter casks for a minimum of four years. The smaller casks increase the amount of interaction between whiskey and wood, creating heavy oak notes in the liquid. That whiskey is then batched back in with our Straight Bourbon Whiskey to balance the oak flavor with traditional sweet notes such as dried fruits and brown spices. The finish is slightly sweet, charred oak with a lingering dryness.
