A higher-strength variation on the Scapegrace Gin recipe, made in New Zealand using 12 botanicals (juniper, coriander, nutmeg, cardamom, lemon peel, orange peel, orris, cinnamon, cassia, angelica, clove and liquorice). However, for this edition, they also add some tangerine peels to the mix!
Scapegrace Gold Gin Tasting Notes
Nose: Rounded and nutty - the mixture of nutmeg spiciness and clove earthiness give it an almost coffee-esque feel! Fresh orange is in the mix too.
Palate: Cassia and orris take center stage, joined by lime, juniper and fennel in support. A core of spicy coriander.
Finish: Orris once again and angelica last for a floral finish.
